GT Cup

An update from Logan regarding her GT debut.

Logan:

I’m sure those of you reading this were excited to read about how I got on at my GT Championship debut at Snetterton. Unfortunately I have no results to report as I was unable to race.

On Saturday, Ian Loggie raced in the first sprint, finishing 7th from starting 11th, then he went out first for the endurance race. As the cars crossed the line at the rolling start, Loggie was involved in an incident that pushed him off track and sideways into the barriers. 

Thankfully he was fine and he was out of the car quickly, the race was red flagged and restarted thanks to the hard work of the marshals but our weekend was over. The team inspected the damage and realised it was more than an overnight job could fix, so we wouldn’t be back out on the Sunday.

Obviously it’s disappointing not to have been able to make my debut in a GT car, and that we didn’t get to finish an endurance race. That said, the team were great and hopefully I will be able to work with them again and make my GT race debut soon. 

Not all was lost, in my preparation for the weekend I learned a lot. Working with a GT champion like Loggie, 7TSIX, and working hard in practice means I am better prepared and more determined than ever to make the move to GT racing.
